The Origin of Self-Owned Brand

After visiting hundreds of cell phone parts suppliers, we carefully decide on each small part such as glass, LCD, touch screen, IC and finally we make it. We believe only self-owned brand cell phone parts can be sustainable and can go farther. Now DBX have possessed a wholly-owned factory and cooperated with upstream factories in a way of strategic investment.

Take iPhone 5 LCD as an example, it is mainly composed of TP(Touch Panel), socket, backlight, OCA and module.

TP Structure

The design technology is the key to decide the price of a LCD. We can know the level of its technology by the level of its price. For a 5.5 inches TP it can be designed into 6 different levels.

Lamination Technology

The LCD screen is made up of glass, touch screen and LCD. Usually to bond these three parts we need two steps: First step is to adhere the glass and to the touch screen and the second step is to adhere the touch screen to LCD. As for the lamination, it is divided into full lamination and edge lamination (air bonding). The process of edge lamination is quite simple, just use double-sided adhesive to laminate touch screen and LCD. So Edge lamination is the common way in the market for its simplicity and low cost. But it will bring defective display effect as the gap between the touch screen and LCD consist air so that it will affect the display after refraction of light. Compared with edge lamination, full lamination is the seamless lamination with water gel or optical cement. So it will have a better display effect.

Presently except iPhone 5 and Nokia Lumia 920 use the most advanced in-cell technology, others adopt G+G, G+F+F and OGS full laminations. As for the stability in the performance, G+G is the most outstanding with 1%~2% repair percentage, and the second is G+F+F with 3%~5% repair percentage, the worst is OGS with the repair percentage of above 15%. Currently DBX adopts the G+G technology to ensure products quality.
